Pedro Porto Fonseca started his career in film as an editor, in 2002. However, he always showed great passion for being on set, where he’d take every opportunity to pick up a camera and shoot.
He bought his first camera in 2011 and promptly started directing several old ideas while, at the same time, aiding in all stages of production of small films.
After 4 years, having gained the confidence and experience to direct most kinds of projects, from music videos to tv commercials, Pedro established his own production company - On Time Media.
Here he grew to become a guerrilla filmmaker: able to shoot with small crews, no storyboard, improvising and adapting to real locations and changing conditions, and driven by passion with whatever means were available.
In 2016, he accepted Nuno Correia’s invitation to collaborate on several of Slowstudio’s biggest projects, acting as his directing advisor and chief editor. By 2021 he had taken the role of 2nd director at Slowstudio, where he presently refines his craft and portfolio by working with top tier professionals and state-of-the-art equipment.
